The "Holidays In Peace" is an activity that 'Al Janub Association held in collaboration with public and private: local governments, associations and other realities of the third Italian and European industry.
The program serves as a bridge between the SADR (Saharawui Arab Democratic Republic), government in exile since 1978, with temporary headquarters at the refugee camps in Western Sahara and local governments in Europe. The primary business of the VIP program is to provide hospitality to saharawui children during the summer.
During the period of the year which runs from June to August, temperatures recorded in refugee camps in Western Sahara, often touching 50 degrees Celsius in the shade: this is the main reason why the Association for the third sector in Europe decided to initiate this type of collaboration with the government saharawui.

Penso sia davvero una grande occasione per questi bambini,grazie alla quale, mi diceva Massimo in una mail, possono essere sottratti alle temperature elevate che caratterizzano il paesaggio del Sahara.
Sarebbe anche per noi un'esperienza di vita davvero unica,perchè basta davvero poco per regalare un sorriso.
